What to Include
The more detail you can provide, the more accurate the offer. Most helpful:
- Photos: overall view, signature or foundry mark, edition number, any damage
- Dimensions (height × width × depth in cm or inches)
- Patina description (brown, gold, dark, verdigris, etc.)

A Note on Reproductions
Several online platforms sell digital giclée prints labelled as "Mitoraj" works. These are unauthorised reproductions with no collector value — they are not original artworks, were not produced under any licence from the Mitoraj estate, and carry no edition number, foundry mark, or signature from the artist. Original Mitoraj works are signed bronzes, marbles, lithographs, and drawings produced under his direct supervision during his lifetime. If you are unsure whether what you have is an original or a print reproduction, send me a photograph — I can usually tell at a glance and will give you an honest answer at no cost.
Why sellers choose direct over auction

Auction estimates are deliberately conservative — the house's job is to attract bidders, not to maximise your payout. On top of that, a 20–25% seller's commission is industry standard at Christie's, Sotheby's, Artcurial, and Desa Unicum. Settlement typically lands 6–8 weeks after the hammer falls, by which point the work has already left your hands. If the bronze fails to reach its reserve, you may also owe unsold-lot fees.
