1. Who we are
This website, mitoraj-search.com, is operated by a private individual collector based in Warsaw, Poland. It is not a commercial business. Contact: [email protected]
2. What data we collect
We only collect data you voluntarily provide when using the contact form:
- Your name
- Your email address
- Your phone number (optional)
- Your country or city
- Information about the artwork you wish to discuss
- Any photos you choose to share
We do not use cookies, advertising trackers, or any third-party analytics service, and we never sell or share your data for marketing or profiling.
3. Anonymous site measurement
So we can tell which pages and languages are actually useful, this site records a small amount of anonymous measurement data on its own infrastructure. It is not shared with any third party and is never used for advertising.
For each page viewed we record the page address, the page language, your country (country level only, as reported by our host Cloudflare), the name of the website that referred you if any (the site name only, never the full address), and technical performance measurements such as how quickly the page loaded, your screen size and a description of your browser. We also record when someone uses an email, WhatsApp or contact-form button, so we can see which pages genuinely help people reach us.
We do not store your IP address in this data, and we set no cookie or visitor identifier. These records cannot be linked to you, and cannot be joined together to follow you from one page to the next. This site does keep a few small items in your own browser so that it can remember your display preference, which works you have recently looked at, and whether you have already been shown a one-off tip. Those items stay on your device, are never transmitted to us or to anyone else, and you can clear them at any time from your browser settings.
4. How we use your data
Your data is used solely to respond to your enquiry about buying or selling a work by Igor Mitoraj. We will never:
- Sell your data to third parties
- Share your data with any other party without your explicit consent
- Use your data for marketing purposes
- Store your data beyond what is necessary to respond to your enquiry
5. Legal basis (GDPR)
We process your personal data on the basis of your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR), given when you submit the contact form. You may withdraw this consent at any time by contacting us.
6. Data retention
We retain your contact information only as long as necessary to complete the transaction or correspondence. If no transaction occurs, data is deleted within 12 months of last contact.
7. Your rights
Under GDPR, you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your data ("right to be forgotten")
- Object to processing of your data
- Lodge a complaint with your national data protection authority
To exercise any of these rights, please contact us at [email protected].
8. Form submission
The contact form on this site uses Formspree to deliver messages. Formspree processes form data on servers in the United States. Please refer to Formspree's privacy policy for details on how they handle data.
9. WhatsApp
If you choose to contact us via WhatsApp, your message and phone number will be processed by WhatsApp Inc. (Meta Platforms). Please refer to WhatsApp's privacy policy for details.
10. Hosting
This website is hosted by Cloudflare Pages (Cloudflare, Inc., USA). Cloudflare may process standard server logs including IP addresses for security and performance purposes. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top of this page indicates when it was last revised.
About This Collection
This site documents one private collector's search for works by Igor Mitoraj (1944–2014) — the Polish-French sculptor celebrated for his fractured classical figures in bronze and marble. Mitoraj studied in Kraków under Tadeusz Kantor, trained in Paris at the École nationale supérieure des beaux-arts, and established his permanent studio in Pietrasanta, Tuscany in 1983. His work is held in public collections across Europe and the Americas. If you have a Mitoraj work available, please use the contact button to get in touch.
