A Note on Reproductions
Several online platforms sell digital giclée prints labelled as “Mitoraj” works. These are unauthorised reproductions with no collector value — they are not original artworks, were not produced under any licence from the Mitoraj estate, and carry no edition number, foundry mark, or artist’s signature. Original Mitoraj works are signed bronzes, marbles, lithographs, and drawings produced under his direct supervision during his lifetime. If you are unsure whether what you have is an original or a print reproduction, send me a photograph — I can usually tell at a glance and will give you an honest answer at no cost.
