## Igor Mitoraj Hakkında (1944–2014)

Igor Mitoraj, 1944 yılında Polonyalı bir anne ve Fransız bir babadan Almanya'nın Oederan şehrinde doğdu ve Polonya'da Kraków yakınlarında büyüdü. Kraków Güzel Sanatlar Akademisi'nde Tadeusz Kantor'un öğrencisi olarak resim eğitimi aldı, ardından 1968'de École Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts'ta eğitim görmek için Paris'e taşındı. Heykeltraş kariyeri, 1976'da Paris'teki Galerie La Hune'de açtığı kişisel sergiyle başladı.

Mitoraj, 6 Ekim 2014'te Paris'te hayatını kaybetti ve Pietrasanta'ya defnedildi.
