Viņš teica: _„Es jūtu, ka rokas vai kājas gabals runā daudz spēcīgāk nekā vesels ķermenis."_ Viņa publiskie pasūtījumi atrodas Pompejā, Londonā, Parīzē, Romā, Milānā, Varšavā, Krakovā, Bambergā, Sentluisā un visā Āzijā. Viņa darbi glabājas Britu muzejā, Hiršhornā, Losandželesu apgabala mākslas muzejā un nacionālajos muzejos Polijā un Itālijā. Mitorajs nomira Parīzē 2014. gada 6. oktobrī un tika apglabāts Pietrasantā.
